Hudson Valley photo specials

Saturday, March 27th, 2010

Flowers are blooming and the weather is warming up here in the Hudson Valley - it’s time to get back outside and play! For a very limited time I am running portrait specials to entice those of you who have been holding off on getting your photos taken and give me a great excuse to get outside, take some photos and meet new people! Specials are being offered for a very limited time and my availability will fill up fast so don’t hesitate! These special promotions are for portrait sessions - modeling, Facebook and/or business headshots, maternity, newborn, children, families, couples, boudoir and high school juniors & seniors! See below for specials on each. All specials apply to sessions taking place within an hour of New Windsor, NY unless otherwise noted (which includes areas such as Poughkeepsie, Hyde Park, Newburgh, Wallkill, Middletown NY, New Paltz, Brewster, Danbury CT, Ridgefield CT, Nanuet, Kingston, Westbrook, Central Valley, Goshen, Mahwah NJ, Rhinebeck, Bedford, Spring Valley, etc.). If you would like to take advantage of one of these deals but live further away, let me know and we can either come up with a location in the middle or I will give you a quote for further travel.

Headshots

Get a mini session (approximately 30-45 minutes), online proofing and ordering and 2 edited high resolution images for your personal and promotional use for just $100 through April 3rd! Whether you need new photos to represent your business identity, starting or adding to a modeling portfolio, a facebook profile photo or you just want to treat yourself, headshot sessions are relaxed and can take place almost anywhere. Limit one person per headshot session.

Maternity and Newborn

I don’t think there is anything that I love more than photographing maternity and newborn sessions - now through May 1st, book a maternity or newborn session and get 50% off your session fee! If you book BOTH a maternity and a newborn session, not only do you get 50% off each session (that’s like getting one free!), but you will also receive a complimentary 20 page brag book filled with your favorite photos! Since these are my absolute favorite sessions and they almost exclusively take place in my clients’ homes, I am extending this offer a little further than the rest - this offer is for anyone within 90 minutes of New Windsor, NY (zip code 12553 if you’re searching the radius!) - this extends into parts of NJ, PA and even the southwest corner of MA, all the way down to Fairfield, CT where I first started my business.

Children, families and couples

When you book a session at regular session rates and place your order within 1 week of your online gallery activation, half of your session fee will transfer over to a print credit! That’s a savings of $50, $125 or even $187.50, depending on the session! Sessions must be completed by May 1st and must take place within 1 hour of New Windsor, NY.

High School Juniors and Seniors

FREE sessions! That’s right, I said it - FREE! Pre-pay for a minimum $200 purchase and receive a 1 hour session absolutely free! Want to spend even less? Like NOTHING?! Apply to be a Senior Rep and if you’re accepted, you could get a free session AND earn free products just for referring your friends! You want more? You also get Rep cards with your photo on one side and a special offer for your friends when they book too! Senior Rep program is only open to Class of 2011. Send me a message via e-mail (info@autumn-photography.com), facebook or twitter if you’re interested in becoming a Rep! This offer is through June 1st - Rep program is available until further notice.

Boudoir

Sexy and tasteful boudoir photographed in your home (or a hotel at your expense if you wish) - book a 3 hour session at $350 and receive a 5×5 20 page photo book free! Sessions include full retouching and a password protected online gallery. Do you have 3-5 friends that would like a session as well? Let me know and I can provide you with a special rate when they are all photographed at the same location on the same day! Offer ends June 1st.

Sorry, no photos to share here - due to the sensitive nature of boudoir photography, I value my clients’ privacy and never share them with anyone. ;)

Dayna & Jim - Enagement session

Sunday, October 11th, 2009

Yeah, really neglecting the blog - Dayna and Jim are on their honeymoon right now and I’m just now blogging their engagement session! When things get crazy the blog is my last priority and things sure have been crazy!

These two are just way too cute together! We went to Tod’s Point in Greenwich for their session and had a great time…

Laurie & Sean : Engaged!

Friday, September 4th, 2009

A few weeks ago I met up with Laurie and Sean at East Rock Park in New Haven, CT for their engagement session. I had met adorable Laurie but had not yet met Sean as he is currently living in Rhode Island and was unable to make it out here. These two are so cute together - they love to make each other laugh, make silly faces and play with their super cute little (and I do mean LITTLE!) dog Carter. They are planning their wedding for this October 24th (2 days before my anniversary!) at The Waterview in Monroe, CT. After spending a couple of hours with them I can tell you without a doubt that it’s going to be a great time! Laurie and Sean are naturals in front of the camera and we had fun chatting… I love getting to know more about my clients!

This is ALL them! I love their silly faces!

Meet Carter - isn’t he adorable?!

A sweet moment and Laurie showing off that ROCK! ;)

Watching the gorgeous sunset from the summit

Thanks again Laurie & Sean! I can’t wait for your wedding! =)

Beth and Mike: Guest Book

Friday, September 4th, 2009

A preview of Beth and Mike’s guest book I’m working on with photos from their recent engagement session at Tod’s Point in Greenwich, CT. Custom Guest Books are a great keepsake and much more fun for your guests to sign than a boring old guest book or even a signature mat with one photo. Guests love to look through the book and choose the page they want to sign on - very much like picking the prime spot to sign in a high school year book! ;) Of course, we want to encourage that guests do more than just sign their names, so we leave plenty of space so they can each write little messages of congratulations as well!

Renee & Rob : Engaged!

Friday, August 14th, 2009

Renee booked me over the phone last year and we had not actually met in person until their engagement session but I knew that they would be awesome - we were on the phone for something like 2 hours chatting away about anything and everything when she booked me! Well, I was certainly not disappointed - these two are AWESOME and so much fun! I happened to meet them almost exactly one year after Rob proposed to Renee on the property they live on in Greenwich… so that was where the session took place! I arrived at the property and it took my breath away… most parks don’t compare to how gorgeous this place is! Then adorable Renee meets me outside and it felt like I had already known her for years. Rob gave me a tour of the property while Renee finished getting ready and then we started shooting… they told me they were nervous but I really didn’t see it! The first shot here is one of my favorites and it was the first one I took that day… usually the first few don’t make the cut because my subjects are still warming up to the camera! They are naturals in front of the camera and so cute together. They have great chemistry and love to goof around… especially Rob! ;) I told them the secret about the moment just before the kiss making a better photo than the kiss itself and so Rob started his mantra of “anticipate…. anticipate….” each time he went to kiss Renee! SO hilarious! I just love these two and can’t wait for their wedding!

Oops! Rob accidentally splashed Renee’s jeans and I just loved their expressions!

….Anticipate…. anticipate…. anticipate…. ;)

This is the driveway of the property… seriously… how could you ever be in a bad mood here?! No wonder these two are all smiles! Oh, wait, that’s LOVE! ;)

Told ya he was a goof! =)

New site, new look, all me!

Thursday, July 16th, 2009

It’s FINALLY ready! I have worked on designing a new website for a couple of months now and it’s finally at the point where I am ready to show it off! It’s new, it’s colorful, it’s fun and it’s totally ME! Thanks to the awesome Showit Sites software, I built this baby from scratch! More tweaks to come when I have some time but check it out! =)

Jess & Mark - Engagement

Thursday, July 2nd, 2009

Last weekend I made the trek back to CT to photograph Jess & Mark’s engagement session at Sleeping Giant State Park and Quinnipiac University, where they met, in Hamden. Jess & Mark are very playful, silly and cute and we had a great time! I love how they play fight, pretending they’re kung fu masters or something! We had fun walking around Quinnipiac while they took me to their favorite spots, including some really sentimental ones from when they first started dating.

We started out at Sleeping Giant - just off the parking lot - they wanted to concentrate more on Quinnipiac but I was dying to get a few here first.

This elderly couple was walking through and I caught them with Jess & Mark in the background at the last second - wish I had gotten a better shot but I thought it was cute nonetheless.

Some shots at “The Bagel” - I had so much fun with this spot!

Does Jess not have the most beautiful eyes?!

We were sure we would get rained out - the forecast did not look good - but instead we got this gorgeous sunset to grace our session!

I love the look on Jess’s face in this one - priceless!

Thanks again guys! I can’t wait for next fall!

Michelle & Steve (and my new logo too!)

Friday, June 19th, 2009

I met up with the adorable Michelle & Steve for their engagement session at Vanderbilt Mansion… I swear I have bad luck with that place though because I’ve only been there a couple of times and each time it rains! Luckily, this time it was just a drizzle and we kept going. Of course, the spike (water chestnut) that I stepped on barefoot on the beach felt absolutely fabulous… then came the huge blisters from all that walking in my new shoes… OUCH! It was all so worth it though - these two are just so in love and so playful and fun - how cute are they?! After our session we headed down the road to the Eveready Diner, which Michelle & Steve informed me was featured on the Food Network’s Diners, Drive-ins and Dives, for a delicious meal - it’s a MUST TRY!

Thanks again, Michelle & Steve! I can’t wait for your wedding next month! =)

Jessica & Barry - Engagment Session

Friday, April 24th, 2009

Sunday I headed down to Tarrytown to photograph Jessica & Barry’s Engagement Session at the exquisite Castle on the Hudson, AKA The Castle. Jessica & Barry will be getting married at The Castle this July and I can’t wait! I had never been there before and the place is truly gorgeous. Jessica & Barry are super cute together and very playful. They love to be silly and they laugh a lot… my kind of people! ;) When asked what they like to do they told me that they sit on the couch and watch TV (Jeopardy is a favorite!) so we had to get a few with them sitting on a couch too! =)

The Knot Best of Weddings 2008/2009!

Friday, April 10th, 2009

It is such an honor being voted “The Knot Best of Weddings 2008/2009″ by my brides! Thank you so much to those that voted and had such wonderful things to say! For those that don’t know, it’s a huge magazine with all of the wedding vendors nationwide that were voted “Best of Weddings” by their couples - it’s a fantastic resource for finding the best wedding vendors! Congratulations to all of those who were also voted “Best”! I grabbed my copy at my local Barnes & Noble - don’t forget to grab your copy of this comprehensive list of the best wedding vendors as voted by real brides! Now they just need a vote on “Best Wedding Clients” because I know mine would make that list! ; )
