Hudson Valley NY Photographer

Hi, I'm Autumn! Thanks for taking the time to visit my site. I've been obsessed with photography since I was about 6 years old and I am so blessed to have such a wonderful career that I love. Even luckier still, I have the most awesome husband and daughter I could ever ask for! I'm outgoing, love to laugh and be silly, I love making new friends, being outdoors (but hate the cold!) and I'm pretty eco-conscious and extend that to my business as well.

I can't imagine there ever being a day when I don't still LOVE being a professional photographer. My dad has always told me "if you don't love what you're doing - don't do it!" and that has always stuck with me. There is nothing I would rather be doing.

Things I love:
-My family - they are THE BEST!
-Chocolate chip cookies
-About a million shades of the color blue and a fiery burnt orange
-My iPod - I LOVE music!
-Super snuggly fleece
-Laughing
-The outdoors (hiking, climbing, kayaking, exploring, photographing)
-My task list on my Droid - I can't live without it!
-Late nights
-Coca Cola Classic - the real deal - no diet crap, no caffeine free!

Things I hate:
-When I can't think of the word I want to say or I ramble - I do that a bit...
-Mean people - you know, the ones who are just always mean for no apparent reason?!
-Maggots - they TOTALLY freak me out
-Being late
-Mornings. REALLY.
-Bone chilling cold (which to this native Floridian is anything below 60!)

I'm very outgoing and expressive and I love to make new friends. I have been told that I have an uncanny ability to make others feel comfortable... I don't think this takes any special talent or anything, I think it's just that I can be a silly clumsy idiot in front of others, laugh at myself and keep on going! Yes, this apparently makes people feel at ease. ;)

I am located in New York's beautiful Hudson Valley, just minutes from Newburgh, Middletown, Fishkill, Beacon, Poughkeepsie and New Paltz. I'm very often in Westchester and Rockland and Fairfield County Connecticut which is where I spent my first 4 years in business. My passion is photographing people at their happiest moments and capturing their personalities rather than just simply recording what they look like - it's the emotions that get me! My main focus (no pun intended - really!) is with engagements and weddings but I love to mix it up so that I don't get bored or burn out. I also love to photograph maternity, newborns, children, high school seniors and headshots. In mixing it up I've taken on things such as boudoir photography, food photography for a restaurant, product photography, textures for photographers and designers (an obsession of mine!), landscapes, fine art, team photography, events such as auctions and bar/bat mitzvahs, birthday parties and anniversary parties. That being said, there will always be things that I don't want to do or I'm simply not proficient at. If you're interested in something other than wedding, engagement, maternity, newborn or senior photography - just ask me. Sure, I might say no, but I also might be able to refer you to someone who happens to excel at what you're looking for!
